An Argument AGAINST Pasturing Animals

July 26, 2019 by Aust Leave a Comment

The world presents us with many boiled down choices in life…. Pepsi VS Coke… Democrat VS Republican….

In the homesteading world many people feel pasturing animals is the “right” way to manage them, and confining animals is “wrong”.

But is it that simple? Do we have more options than Pepsi or Coke?

In today’s episode of Ask Homesteady we address a comment on the channel that suggests pasturing animals is not the best option, and promotes the idea of instead keeping animals in confinement.

This bucks the trend of much of the homesteading worlds opinion… Is the commenter right? is he wrong? Or is the world more complex than the dichotomy we are usually presented with?

Speaking of a dichotomy….

Some in the homesteading world feel that we should mimic nature on our farm as closely as possible. Others claim that we need to use science to solve problems and run our homesteads.

Do nature and science mix on the homestead? We answer another viewers question in this episode of #askhomesteady.
