Day 2 and 3 of this Strategic relocation, and the choice of moving to one of 50 states has us overwhelmed. Instead of trying to decide between 50, we figured we could narrow the selection.
So first thing we did was start a chart. A state comparison chart. We figured we don’t want to move out west, or to an expensive area, or somewhere too hot or cold. We also looked into homesteading law, farming law, and a few other areas of life that are important to us. It narrowed our search to about 8 states. We kept CT on the list, just to be sure moving out was the right decision.
We made this spreadsheet in Numbers, Macs spreadsheet program. I added some rules to the chart, so we could score each state in different categories, and the best scoring state would rise to the top automatically, wile the worst would drop to the bottom.
Were not done with our scoring, far from it, but from our first few inputs, CT, its not looking too good…
