Homesteading is a GEAR HEAVY lifestyle for most of us.
(I know, there are the minimalist homesteaders out there like K, if you are one of those go ahead and ignore this post 😉
Today and tomorrow Amazon has a big event going on, PRIME DAY.
I was up late last night researching what Homesteading gear (that I have purchased myself and use all the time on my homestead) will be going on sale for Prime Day, with hopes I could save some of you money on some great stuff. I have a few MUST HAVE items below, and a few other additional ones, that you may want to snatch up at some fantastic prices.
REMEMBER, if you do ANY shopping on Amazon, Prime day or not, if you use www.amsteady.com to get you there first, we make a small commission and it doesn’t cost you anything extra! Thanks for considering.
NOTE – NOT ALL DEALS REQURE A PRIME ACCOUNT! Some are available to all! To get ALL of Prime Day’s best deals you need to be an Amazon Prime member.
The yearly membership is $119. Shipping is fast and free, you will absolutely get your money back for all the homesteading gear you would have had to pay for shipping (Chicken butcher day I had like literally 40 items shipped, from packaging to knives and everything in-between!) and honestly if you scoop up a couple of these deals today you will probably make that $120 back this week.
ALL OF THESE LINKS ARE AFFILIATE LINKS, I EARN A SMALL COMMISSION FOR SENDING YOU THERE, BUT COST YOU NOTHING EXTRA.
$40 OFF THE DEWALT DRILL AND IMPACT DRIVER COMBO – I use my drill and impact driver for literally EVERY Homesteady build. Having both a drill and driver speeds up your DIY projects SOOOO much. To be able to predrill and then screw stuff together without changing back and forth bits is so awesome. Plus both tools do something the other cant. Best part of spending the extra money for the Dewalt (which is almost null when you save $50) is that they have the largest selection of battery driven tools on the market. One battery can power more than 200 tools! I personally have a battery powered Weed Eater and Pole Saw that I LOVE and they all share batteries!
$30 OFF The DEWALT RECIPROCATING SAW – Another homestead tool I use all the time. The Reciprocating saw has SOOO many homestead uses. This year I used mine to trim small branches and bushes (much more safely to cut small limbs and trees with a sawzall than a chain saw… fyi), I also used mine to dismantle some homestead buildings and contraptions I needed to make changes on, and of course, I use some BUTCHER BLADES to cut carcasses in half in my butcher shop.
$58 OFF DEWALT 20V 6 Hour BATTERIES – With all those Dewalt tools you will need spare batteries. This is an incredible deal that I am FORCING MYSELF to not get because I already have enough batteries… but DANG…
KITCHEN (or butcher shop 😉
$50 OFF THE INSTANT POT – The Instant Pot is an electronically controlled, combined pressure cooker and slow cooker. The original cookers are marketed as 6-in-1 or more appliances designed to consolidate the cooking and preparing of food to one device. K uses her instant pot all the time to cook those tougher homestead meats like rabbit, old hens, and tougher cuts of venison and beef. She recommends the 10 Quart model, it can fit a whole rabbit! It makes those tougher animals very tender, and on top of that it cooks rice in like 5 minutes!
HALF PRICED VICTORINOX KNIVES!– ALL my butcher knives are now Victorinox knives. After YEARS of interviewing and working along side professional butchers I have learned that ALL of them choose Victorinox. These knives are a great blend of reasonable price and good quality. Well… During prime day they are STUPID cheap. Some of my faves are HALF OFF like…
the Victorinox 6 inch Semi Stiff – My GO TO when cutting up a carcass, sheep, pigs, cows, you name it. This thing is a work horse. I can debone a deer or trim a roast. And you can get it for about $15 bucks right now!
the 8 or 10 inch Curved Breaking Knife – This is a great knife to trim steaks and roasts, and also a helpful tool when breaking down a carcass. I like the 10 inch, but if you are not butchering a cow ever the 8 inch would be just fine. Right now you can get this knife for about half price!
32% OFF MORAKNIV HEAVY DUTY KNIFE – Morakniv Knives are incredible sharp, and very easy on the wallet. They are also easy to keep sharp, AS LONG AS YOU CARE FOR THEM – don’t let them stay wet or they WILL rust. When you are done with your Mora run it over a steel and then add a little oil to the blade to be sure they stay as sharp as the day you bought them. Awesome knife for chicken butcher day!
KINDLES! Are you a reader? Some awesome homestead books out there on kindle. Get you a new Kindle for as much as $80 OFF! Then you can also get a subscription to Kindle Unlimited for FREE for the first 3 months!
I hope you get to score on one of these great deals.
I have personally purchased ALL of these items with my own money, and sadly (for me), I paid more for most of them than you will if you scoop em up this week!
